Can I retrieve old text messages?
iPhone 11, iOS 16
If you have iOS 16 installed on your phone.....AND.....the messages were deleted after you installed iOS 16.....and the messages were deleted less than 30 days ago, you can retrieve the messages from the Recently Deleted Folder in Messages > Edit.
Otherwise.....the messages are gone.
