How to upgrade effects from an intel Mac to a silicon Mac

I started a project on my 2013 Mac Book Pro. I took the HD over to my M1 Mini. I was asked to update a bunch of effects for them to work. I accidentally click the "don't ask tell me again" box and am not sure how to properly google the question. The responses I get are download new effects from the manufacturer. I went to upgrade in FCP, and all I could get to was upgrading the latest version of Ventura.

How do you go about updating the effects for silicon? And also to be able to go back and forth to and intel Mac book pro?

Thanks in advance.

What version of the OS and FCP is the MBP using? That version will likely not run on Apple Silicon. The plugins will almost certainly need to be updated on the mini. If the plugins have updated versions there is no problem going between Intel and Silicon, the problem is going between old versions and new versions.

i'm on eastern standard time and wrote this last night. I won't be able to get back onto it until this evening at home. I think I'm on El Capitan on my power book. I'm just getting back into editing and doing some vacation video so I may not need all these effects right now.

I will see if I can force that error message this evening and get it back to you guys to look at. I may need to worry about this in the future if I'm going back-and-forth between these two machines.

Thanks.
