Thank you for providing that information. If this only happens with select contacts, check to see how they were added to Contacts. Did you add them, were they synced from another account or another device? If a child is part of your family group, check to see if they're able to view the contacts. That will help to isolate the cause of this.

You might also want to go ahead and back up your iPhone and update to iOS 16.3: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

We're unsure of why exactly it shows this when updating contacts within your device, but we'd like to help however we can. Let's start with ruling out some possible causes, along with confirming more details to better understand what's happening:

1. When did this first start to show?
2. Are you using your own Apple ID only on devices you use?
3. Which model are you using, and what's the OS version number installed on it?
4. A restart can sometimes fix unexpected behavior if that's what's occurring here. Have you already tried one for your device?
