Created a smart playlist, however there are duplicate songs from other albums. When trying to remove those duplicates a message comes up asking if I want to delete the songs from my music library (including from any iPad, iPhone etc.)
I only want to remove the duplicates from the smart playlist.. not delete them from my library. Is this not possible?
Membership of a smart playlist is determined by the ruleset. If you want to remove specific songs from the list do something that means they no longer satisfy the rules. A simple method might be to include only checked songs, and then uncheck the tracks you want to exclude, but that might have unwanted side effects, e.g. give you an album where one or more tracks will be skipped. I like to use the Grouping field to hold keywords, e.g. Live/Exclude, and then add rules to my smart lists that can pick up on particular keywords to take an action.
