Hi there emile205,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're seeing a popup. Which app is this happening in? Is this Safari or Photos?

A restart is a great initial step in troubleshooting. Does a restart help? Restart your iPad - Apple Support

We also recommend updating both the iOS and apps on your iPad, if you're able to:

Back up iPad - Apple Support

Update iPadOS - Apple Support

How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support

That should help. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.

Hello emile205,

It doesn't appear there is a setting to disable toggling information about the photo when editing. However, the articles below can help you see if there's a gesture or option you're inadvertently tapping to view the details.

Edit photos and videos on iPad - Apple Support

Take and edit photos on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Cheers.

Thank you Mathew,

My bad,I should have stipulated this occurs while editing photos.

While moving the photo around, sometimes a square pop up appears on the right, indicating relevant ( or not) information about the photograph.

I agree, that the information could be useful some times, but there should be a way to turn it off.

[ I've already given up battling the app library… 😉 ]
