iwatch app not showing music app-can’t get music on watch

my iphone, while in my iwatch app, is not showing all the apps that are in the watch. I am trying to add music from my phone to the watch. The music app is not in the watch app, on my phone. But the music app is on the watch. I have unpaired and paired it, restarted, have done everything I can with no luck. I search for music in the watch app and it shows up but clicking on it does nothing. Help! It’s an Apple Watch Nike SE

Hi Bruno, thanks for trying to help. I have never been able to add music to the watch. When I go to tap add music, it does absolutely nothing. When looking at the settings it says version 9.3. I updated the software on Feb 4, and I have it set on automatic updates and it doesn’t say the latest version is available. My phone is fully updated with the latest software.

The watch is a Nike SE, so I am wondering if it can’t do it? But it has the music app right on the Home Screen on the watch. Really weird.

Hey there corie243,

Let's start with confirming more details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. If you've been able to add music in the past, when did this start?
  2. What occurs exactly when you tap on 'Add Music' from the screenshot you provided?
  3. Are there the steps you're taking to add music to you watch? Check out: Add music to Apple Watch
  4. If you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
  5. Which watchOS version shows installed in your watch currently? You can check in your watch under Settings > General > About.

Cheers!

Hello corie243,

Thank you for those details. Rather than using your iPhone to add the music, let's see if you can add music from the Music app on your Apple Watch.

Add music using your Apple Watch
If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, you can add music using your Apple Watch.
Note: Adding music isn’t available in the Apple Music Voice Plan. For more information, see the Apple Support article About Apple Music Voice.
1. Open the Music app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap Listen Now or Search, then navigate to music you want to add.
3. Tap a playlist or album, tap the More button, then tap Add to Library. A message confirms that the item was added.
Note: You can stream music you add to Apple Watch when you have an internet connection. To play music when you’re not connected to the internet, you must first download it.
4. To download the music to Apple Watch, tap the More button again, then tap Download.

You can find more information here: Add music to Apple Watch - Apple Support

Let us know how that worked for you.

Take care.
