Siri not confirming commands after ios16.3
After update to IOS 16.3 Siri no longer confirms commands.
siri often confuses ’on’ with ‘off’ and it was great to have a verbal Siri confirmation that an appliance (such as a heater in another room) with no visible means of confirmation was turned off (or on).
now I have to ask Siri to turn the device off, then ask Siri for a ‘status’ of that device.
all worked fine on 16.2. This affected my iPhone, iPad, original homepod and HomePod mini.
I have been through all the settings and options I can find. I was directed to ‘announce’ in ‘notifications’ in the ‘Siri’ section, but ‘announce’ is not in that section anymore, it’s gone! Why would Apple remove that? Will they fix it? Is there any work around? Can I go back to 16.2?
To confirm that this is 100% iOS 16.3 issue, I turned on my old iPhone running 16.2 and that worked perfectly, I then ‘upgraded’ to 16.3 and it no longer works.
