duplicate contacts

I've begun using Contacts again after being frustrated with Google.

I have dozens of duplicates, quite a few triplicates.

No matter how many times I click merge, close the program and reopen it tells me I have no dupes. Originally it did. Now "none."

What to do.

thanks?

Hi FFFF,

When attempting to merge contacts with macOS Ventura, are you using the seps below found in the article here: Merge contact cards in Contacts on Mac

"In the Contacts app  on your Mac, do any of the following:

  • Look for duplicate cards and merge them: Choose Card > Look for Duplicates, then click Merge.
  • Merge duplicate cards: In the list of contacts, select the duplicate cards you want to merge, then choose Card > Merge Selected Cards."

If so, and you sync with iCloud test the steps here as well: If you see duplicate contacts after setting up iCloud Contacts

Should the issue remain, reach out to Apple Support directly to further assist.
