I opened Notes to find it empty. I had 50 entries that are important information. What happened? I ran Time Machine yesterday. Did that have an affect?

I found it. Notes was turned off. I had not done that but maybe with a TimeShare backup it got turned off.

If you go to Notes Settings, check if your default account changed. I think commonly iCloud is used, but email accounts can be used as well.
Notes entries Disappeared!
