Trying to sync my music from computer to iphone.

Trying to sync my music from computer to iphone. Everyone says I need to turn on sync.... but "sync" is not an option on either my phone (settings>Music) or my computer (consoldated first, then went to music>preferences>genera)l but no sync button there either. Why am I not seeing sync options? I am signed in to my icloud account. I do notice on my iphone that music is not syncing to the cloud so I realize that is my problem. But why are there no sync buttons to toggle on? Using Monterey 12.6.2 TIA!

Sync Library only shows for Apple Music subscribers. To sync see: Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod using your computer – Apple Support (AU)
