If you have the older keyboard and mouse with AA batteries? Then you will need to use a USB keyboard and mouse to get those paired up.

If you have the latest rechargeable keyboard and mouse? Then connect them to the iMac with the supplied charging cables.

Dig out, barrow or buy a USB keyboard and mouse.

(most any USB Generic or PC keyboard and mouse will work)
