Respond with text changes the country code

I live in Poland, my iPhone 12 mini has local PlusGSM ESIM that is my main number with +48 country code. I also have a physical sim card from Orange Spain (+34) that I don't use at the moment and it is set to "off". When someone calls from a local number and I choose "respond with text" to decline the call, my iPhone adds +33 (France) prefix, instead of +48.

I tried enabling and disabling "dial assist" multitude of times. I changed regions several times. I changed the iMessage region several times. No matter what I do, it adds +33 country code.

Should I just live with it? It seems that many people had a problem like mine and no one really found a solution.

You have two SIMs one is Poland SIM (+48) and another Spain SIM (+34)

Where +33 is being used is not clear to me.

Please check the following...

  • Set Automatic Time Zone enabled --> Turn on Set Automatically in Settings > General > Date & Time.
  • Apple ID is set to which Country --> Change your Apple ID country or region
  • The region is set to which country --> Settings > General > Language & Region > Regjon
