Photos Library Could Not Be Opened (5416)

My Photos library is on an 8TB external drive formatted as MacOS Extended (Journaled) and wouldn't open this morning.

Am running Mac Studio 2022 M1 Max, Ventura 13.1

Photos Library is 2.64TB

Can't copy it back to the Mac SSD as it is only 2TB

Appreciate similar experiences/solutions. Thank you.

Photos library saved on a Mac OS Extended formatted HD will not open. I've had my Photos Library saved to a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatted HD for years. I was always able to open the app and access my photos this way. I tried today and am not able to open the library. I keep getting a 4302 error window. Any ideas how to fix this so I can open my Photos app? NOTE: I am running Monterey 12.6.

Photos for Mac does not import photos anymore. Hi, the Photo app on my MacBook Pro does not import new photos anymore. I can select them from anywhere on my Mac but it gets stuck at 0/... and no importing takes place: I am using photo Version 8.0 (511.0.180) and an external drive, where the library is stored, but there is more than than 100GB free memory. It also worked before and I think occurred after upgrading OS to 13.0.1. I already tried to repair the library, no success. Any Ideas? Thanks a lot in advance.

Tried Utilities disk repair, but it could not unmount. Restarted Mac, still would not dismount disk automatically for Utilities repair so I dismounted it using Utilities, then requested repair. It ran repair, I mounted the disk, double-clicked the library and it opened.

I'll count this as a win.
