How can i sync an icloud drive shared folder in Finder with older macs like Dropbox?

I am on Catalina and my brothers old laptop (MBP Late 2013 )is on High Sierra.Can I share a folder in iCloud Drive and give him permission to collaborate so that files/subfolders automatically sync like Dropbox?

Move or share files between two users on the same computer My wife and I both have user accounts on our M1 iMac running MacOS 13.1, mainly so we both can have access to the photos we take on our iPhones and separate access to emails, etc., not to have secrets we keep. I am more computer savvy, so if she gets a document emailed to her and needs to do something with it, she will often ask me to. What I would like to do is create a folder that is accessible to all users of the computer so that we don't have to log in and out each time. Or some other way to transfer documents between users on the iMac. Thanks

Confused by sharing folder My wife and I both show "Shared" on our finders, and we both have "File Sharing" checked on our "System Preferences/Sharing". On my iMac, I can drag a file into "Shared" and there's a "Shared with Pat Shared by Me" folder that contains the file. On her iMac, I can't drag anything into "Shared" and I don't know where the file that I shared with her is. We have family sharing (She's the organizer). I can copy files from my computer to hers using the finder to show both of our computers. What should I see in the Shared folders? How do I put files in there to use them?
