one esim number disappeared

Hello. I have an iphone 14 with 2 e sims. one of my esims is set up for my At&T. Us Number. The second is set up through EE with my UK number. I live in the UK. The other day to avoid International charges that can pop up on my commute coming out of a tunnel, I turned off my US number. Now it has completely disappeared. When I go to Celluar in Settings it asks me if I want to set up the Cellular. I can still use my UK number but even that is not showing up in the Cellular section. How do I get my US number back and not lose my UK number? I can't imagine it would just erase my e sims. Also the US number has disappeared from my Imessages. What can be done to restore normal service? Thx, Jim

For an eSIM to be erased, you have to go through specific steps which are outlined here: How to erase the eSIM on your iPhone - Apple Support

If you took those steps, then you'd need to contact the US carrier to get a new eSIM set up. Additionally, we'd also recommend double-checking with your UK carrier to ensure that your iPhone shows as unlocked (see: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM - Apple Support ) and that nothing was changed on your account that'd remove that functionality.

Cheers!
