Left AirPod not working properly

I was using my AirPods like I usually do and I accidentally dropped them in the sink. I immediately grabbed them and let me dry overnight. My right AirPod has been working but my left is not, it worked for an hour before it died. It will not charge in the case. When I put the AirPod in the case, it blinks red. I tried charging the case fully and waiting an hour, but it still doesn't charge.

Do I need to buy another set of AirPods or is there a way to fix it?
