Apple weather app Time Machine

Really miss the Dark Sky Time Machine feature. Being able to look back at the historical weather data of different locations by date and year has been a huge help to me when planning trips. That was one of the best features of the Dark Sky App. Sure hope apple gets this rolling again. Why mess something up that worked for so many?

Dark Sky integration (Missing Feature) As you may know, Apple bought the technology from the Dark Sky app, and is integrating it into their weather app, and shutting down Dark Sky app on January 1st. While most of the features of the Dark Sky app have been included in this app, the Time Machine feature, which allowed users to see data from earlier dates, was unfortunately left out. Apple engineers: please try to bring back that feature.

Weather app Time Machine? I can see older questions were never accurately answered. Time Machine is not Apple back up. It is a localised weather history and historical data extrapolation facility. carrot app has it. For a price. Dark sky had it. Does Apple Weather?

Dark Sky’s Time Machine is gone In the new Weather! I’d like to hear from an Apple Weather product manager why one of the most interesting and unusual features of DarkSky—the ability to see what the weather was in a certain location on the same day going back years—hasn’t carried over to the new Apple Weather. What possible design or technical or marketing reason could have led to removing a selling point like this? Why would you want to redesign an app to be less distinguishable from its many competitors by removing a unique feature?

You can send direct feedback to the Apple Weather team. Only they know where the weather application feature set is headed, and do not participate in these public, user-supported communities.
