Apple Music shuffling on Web Player and Windows App

I am having an issue with the shuffle function on the web player and new Windows app. It works just fine when I shuffle an album or playlist, but when I try to shuffle the songs from my library, a queue will not generate. This means it just plays the first song I have selected and when the song ends, nothing plays. I have shuffle selected in this scenario too. This affects both the web player and Windows app simultaneously. Does anyone have reference for how to correct this issue?

I went back to check the web player, and I actually have a different issue with shuffle there. On the web player it will not shuffle at all, but will just play the next song in alphabetical order. This while I have shuffle selected. So two different issues with shuffle between the web player and the Windows app.

No error at all, it just plays the first song I select. Whether I have shuffle selected or not, a queue will not create and when the song ends nothing happens. I have to physically click "play next" on a song to have songs populate in the queue. But it does not do it automatically, like if I shuffle through a playlist. This issue does not occur on my iOS device. It only occurs on the web player and the Windows app.


I signed out of my account and re-signed back in. The problem is still there. I also uninstalled the Windows app and redownloaded it, and the problem did not go away.

Are you receiving an error message after the first song plays?

Have you had the chance to check if the issue persists when using the Music app on an iOS, iPadOS, or macOS device?
