Confirm MacBook Air password for iCloud message

I keep getting the message to confirm my device password for icloud on my MacBook Air M2. I see this is not a new problem and no one has posted a workable solution to get rid of this message. Apple needs to fix this. When is that likely to occur?

You are not addressing Apple here. If you want this placed before an Apple employee, you need to use a feedback link:

Feedback - iCloud - Apple

This is a common issue for me as well, starting on my iPhone and iPad after I upgraded to iOS/iPadOS 16.

Curious if you use two-factor authentication. I don't, and I wonder if it is another irritant to "encourage" people into turning it on.
