Can I transfer my gift card balance to another Apple ID? I received a $100 gift card for Xmas, and I don’t need anything from Apple. I’d like to just sell it for maybe $90 on FB marketplace, but there’s no way to really prove there is $100 on it other than redeeming it and showing the balance.
If you haven't redeemed it then it can be redeemed by anybody with the code. As you observe, there is a problem in getting somebody to trust that you haven't redeemed the card but Apple has set it up to be used the way it has and resale was likely not in consideration.
