Uploading files to Google Drive stops when iphone screen turns off

I am trying to upload multiple files and videos to google drive from my 14pro but the upload keeps stopping as soon as the screen turns off..

You set the Auto-Lock to Never only when uploading files to Google Drive.

After that set your Auto-Lock back to your own choice.

Try this -> turn Auto-Lock to Never.

Why would autolock disable background ssrvices for google drive ? I dont want to keep autolock enable for a long period of time as it affects battery life.. This sounds as a workaround rather than a fix; I am expecting a solution for this problem
