icloud photos with new apple id

hello,

i would like to start using a new apple id and delete the current one. i want my photos to stay on my iphone without making any imports, downloading copies, etc. is it possible to stop storing my photos on this apple id icloud but store them on my phone locally instead, and when logged into a new apple id turn it on and start storing them in new icloud? if there is a way, could somebody help me out and explain step by step?

thank you

iPhone 13, iOS 16

You must check mark download and keep original photos , the photo box must be always checked , in case if you sign out Apple ID the photos will always stay in iCloud server , they literally are saved when you do so .

After that you sign out Apple ID the photos will not be lost from server , but they will disappear when new Apple ID is signed in , it doesn't mean you lose previous photos from first Apple ID account , if you wish again sign out from second apple id and then sign in with first Apple ID the original photos will always sync see the article Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

Once Apple ID is signed out from iPhone Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac - Apple Support , if you slide the box to save photos they are saved in device .

When you sign out, any data stored in iCloud will be removed from your device but will remain in iCloud. Before you sign out, you’ll be asked if you want to keep a copy of any of this information on your device.

However when you sign in with new Apple ID Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support the data from its own iCloud will start syncing .

The previous iCloud data will not sync yet it is still saved in iCloud , you can switch the Apple ID any time .

if i check "download and keep originals" in icloud settings, then turn off icloud photos, the photos will download to my iphone storage instead of icloud, is that right? now if i sign in with a new apple id, will those photos still be on my phone? does it work that way? i wanna make sure if that's is possible, i'm afraid that if i do this and log in with new apple id, the photos will be gone and there's not gonna be a way to bring them back, since icloud and syncing on the previous apple id was turned off as i mentioned
