Confirm Intent to Dial or Call Someone

Is there a way to make the iphone require a confirmation before dialing the phone? This would be to prevent butt dialing.

Still no setting to confirm dialing? My senior slightly demented dad constantly dials people who has called him, because of the ”one touch” dialing in Recents and Contacts. Is there still no setting in iOS so the phone can ask for confirmation before dialing? If not, why? There are all kinds of helpful settings to make using the iPhone easier for people with all kind of disabilities and challenges - I cannot understand why this is not one of them, it seems so easy and would help many.
