MacOS Ventura

Yesterday I've updated my Macbook M1 Pro to MacOS Ventura. The second my macbook was updated it started having slow down issues.

As a photographer I'm using Lightroom classic and I could see the difference before and after the update with slow downs.

I've been searching for help guides within this similar issue.

Someone in their article mentioned to keep your laptop plugged in overnight so it can process some stuff background, which I did.

The next morning I found it unfortunate that it didin't work.

Can anyone help me out here?

Hey JeltsePhotography,

Since restarting devices can resolve some software related issues, we recommend restarting by following the steps here below or in this article: Shut down or restart your Mac.

• On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Restart.

If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”

If issue persists, test it safe mode. Safe mode helps determine if the issue is related to software that loads as the Mac boots up. Below are the steps for an Intel-based Mac. For steps on an Apple silicon Mac, review this article: Start up your Mac in safe mode.

1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key until you see the login window.
2. Log in to your Mac.
3. You might be asked to log in again.

On either the first or second login window, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

After testing in safe mode, restart normally and confirm issue is resolved.

If not, check out the steps here If your Mac runs slowly. There's information in this article that may be helpful.

Hope this helps. Take care/
