Can you recover deleted Mac emails Ventura? I deleted one I am trying to find, from Dec 11. Tried multiple times, but can't figure it out.

And, I have no way (now) to "enter" TIme Machine anymore - I can only now "browse" backups.

When I search for some of the emails I can remember, some appear while others do not. These are not emails I have stored on my computer, suggesting there is a way to access the deleted mail messages. I do not have Time Machine activated. I have searched the cache for the deleted archived emails but cannot find them. There are a ton of emails in my Trash Folder, none of which are the saved messages of dedicated folders. Help?

Lost emails About a year ago, when my Mac updated, the emails from one of the email servers which feeds into my Mac mail application vanished, which also meant I lost all the emails as the settings automatically detected from the online server as well. I wasn't that bothered at the time. However I now need some files which were attachments on those emails. My Macs have been backed up with time machine going back to 2016, but for some reason the Time Machine isn't giving me the options as on the back up files the 2016-2020 is under my old computer, name Mac Book Air, and even the first back up on this new (M1 MBP) is under a different computer file name for some reason. So the Time Machine gives me no options. Thus either I need a way to find the mail folder on the backup files, on my external HD, or a way for Time Machine to recognise the previous backups. Any ideas?

time machine can't find a backup I switched internet companies which required a new email address. I have a MacAir that I’ve kept with the Mojave OS because Mojave was the last OS where you can retrieve emails via Time Machine. Well, I deleted my previous email accounts. But now, I can’t figure out how to get to them because they’re not showing on my Mail tool bar as a valid mail account. All of them are on the external backup drive but I can’t get at them. Any insight? Many thanks. If I’m dead in the water then I guess I’ll upgrade the MacAir to the latest OS.

Technically it may be possible as mail is kept in your library/mail/V file structure but trying to find a specific email is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I now use a third party app to back up all my email since Apple removed the TM feature several systems ago. For me once I download, read and delete it is gone from the server. Also all my email trash is deleted after two weeks by my provider.

Log into your email account using the email provider's webmail page. Check there if the email provider maintains a backup.
