l use to have apple 6 but now l have the 14 por max and can't pair my apple watch to my phone

I have never been able to pair my watch with my iPhone. I always call apple support. They have knowledgeable tech that are so friendly when helping you. I don’t have the phone number in front of me but Apple support has an app that can get you started.
