disable safari on my kids iphone but allow on it on their ipad?

I want the children to have access to safari when they are at home on their ipads (where I can physically supervise their usage) but not when they are away from home with their iphones. Screentime seems to limit regard of which device they use.

The workaround I see is to block safari on screentime (which blocks it on both ipad and iphone) and then allow them to install chrome or firefox on ipad.

Is there another way I'm not seeing? I do like that screentime tracks the websites visited using safari.

Hello gb137,

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

You may find a solution by enabling a Screen Time app limit for Safari. This would limit the total amount of time that the app could be used each day.

You can also schedule Screen Time downtime which will only allow certain apps to be used during a scheduled time each day.

The following Apple Support article explains how to enable these Screen Time features: Set up Screen Time for yourself on iPad

If you would like to see additional features added, please send feedback to Apple directly using this link: Product Feedback

Cheers!
