settings- accessibility- spoken content- pronunciation. I’ve been having pretty good success by typing what I want her to recognize, then when I click the mic and hear the’ding’; I just say it the way I want her to say it. We have the nearby town of Llano, and we also have “Llano street, also often called “the Llano highway”. She insisted on pronouncing it “Yah-no” - the Spanish pronunciation, but nobody around here uses that… it is locally pronounced to rhyme with piano, in other words, phonetically, just like it looks.

I guess I should specify the standard middle America pronunciation of piano, not the way WE say it : “pee-anuh” or in East Texas, “pee-ayuna” … yes, that’s 4 syllables. That encouraged me to experiment.. I got tired of Siri always using a Yankee pronunciation of a native tree and its nut, along with the name of my hometown. Those being “pecan “, and “Eldorado”, respectively. We say “p’cahn”, not peecan, and I grew up in “Eldraduh”, not

El Dorah-do. I have successfully taught Siri these subtle variations, plus some others as well. It’s pretty hysterical to type something like: Let’s run over to Eldorado right quick and get us some pecan pie …” and have Siri read it back and she says “Let’s run over to Eldraduh right quick and git us some p’cahn pye …”. LOL
