Screen Time device lists not synced

My daughter’s iPad was monitored using Screen Time for a while. And after resetting my daughter’s iPad, I gave it to my son. This iPad was deleted from her devices shown in Apple ID, but not from the devices of her Screen Time. Strangely the screen time settings for my son for this iPad are automatically reset (e.g. app limit settings are deleted). I think this is because the screen time devices are not synced with their apple id devices list. I did reset their accounts on the kids devices, but didn’t work. Any advice on this issue?

Hello pomano,

It sounds like Screen Time for your children are not listed properly, as the iPad your son is using continues to show up under your daughter's Apple ID, right?

After resetting the iPad, have you tried updating the iPad's software to make sure it's using the latest software? Take a look at the steps here:

Update your iPhone or iPad

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

If your iPad is updated, contact Apple Support.

Regards.
