Siri does not set alarm

Hi, I have an issue since updating to iOS16.2:

Siri does not set an alarm anymore. After the request Siri asks for patience and finally does not set the alarm. This was never an issue on previous iOS versions.

I tested if it was an issue on all Siri requests, but it is not: when I ask Siri to bring me to another city, Maps is started and a route is created. So, (I think) it is not a 'full' Siri issue.

Since the connected Apple Watch 7 was still on watchOS8.??, I updated the watch to watchOS9.2, but this did not solve the issue. Siri still won't set an alarm.

Does anybody have an idea what I can do to resolve this?

I don't want to reset the phone and start over...

Resetting and putting back the back-up is an option, but that will not remove this Siri issue...

Or is there an option to only reset Siri?

Hello MarkW33,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help make sure Siri is working normally for you again.

Let's ensure that Siri is setup properly to help resolve the issue:

"Set up Siri to recognize your voice

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Siri & Search.
  3. Turn off Listen for "Hey Siri," then turn it back on.
  4. When the Set Up "Hey Siri" screen appears, tap Continue.
  5. Say each command that you see on your screen.
  6. Tap Done."

This Apple Support page has the full details and more steps to take: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support

If the issue continues, please reach out to an Apple Support Advisor for further assistance: Get Support

We hope these steps can help isolate and resolve the Siri issue so the feature works perfectly again.

Cheers!
