HomeKit issues - not running automations?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We would recommend first updating the iOS and tvOS versions to the current updates as listed below as updates can often help:
Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
Update your Apple TV manually
1. Go to Settings > System > Software Updates and select Update Software.
2. If there's an update, select Download and Install.
3. Wait for your Apple TV to download the update. Keep your Apple TV connected and plugged in to power until the update is complete.

Standard answer, and, already done all that. Everything, including my MBP are running the most current version and any intermediate updates.
The issue has been that HomeKit is acting very flaky since iOS 16 on phones and tablets came out (though I suppose that could also be the newest tvOS causing the issue and not the phone/tablet updates). At any rate, there is no consistency to what automations run at their scheduled times. Sometimes they will come on but not go off later; or vice-versa, will not come on. All the individual items work if you go to the HOME tab and manually turn the plug/switch on/off.
And, yes, I have tried deleting them all and recreating them with similar levels of success.

I have the same problem. Is this iCloud related perhaps? I use Apple Home on many devices.
