The link from the email would open in the Safari browser. It would redirect me to open Apple Music (or iTunes) app, but with no success.

After about 5 tries over about 5 hours... I was able to open the link in Apple Music (or iTunes) directly instead of via the Safari Browser.

If I remember correctly, it was a drop down menu that appears via a right mouse click or 'secret handshake' using the touch pad on my amazing mid-2015 MacBook Pro ;)

That allowed me to activate the FREE 2 months Apple Music subscription.

I hope this will help others to make the most of the opportunity.
