my iPhone 8 is disabled for three hours I do not have a way to hook up to a laptop how can I factory reset without it

If you continue to enter the wrong passcode, soon you will see a message of Unavailable or Security Lockout on the phone.

At that point, you can reset / erase the phone without using a computer as long as the iPhone is running iOS 15.2 or higher......(it probably is unless you have not updated your phone for a long time.)

Once the phone has been reset, you can restore from a current backup.

You will need to restore the device using a computer. The process will erase the device. Later you can restore your data from a recent back-up.
