Occasionally I receiver calls on my Macbook face time (which is wifi calling enabled) which are not displayed on my iPhone, which is sitting next to the laptop. Both are on the same Wifi network, and the phone has plenty of cellular bars for reception. This is a problem, because I want to take incoming calls on my phone, not using the laptop's speaker.
What can be going on?

Nope, that's not what's going on. The calls are coming to the number associated with my phone, but are not received on my phone. I have also noticed several occasions over the last month or two where I miss calls because the phone doesn't ring. I wonder if it's the same problem, only I am not at the computer to see the call come in there...

The incoming calls received on your mac may not be through the iPhone next to you. It may be through other iPhones which are using the same Apple ID.
