How can I force macbook to boot from USB without OSX access
I have an M1 chip mac that I want to boot from USB because I cannot get reinstalls to work using the internal drive. Every time I try to reinstall, the OS locks up on loading and never lets me in. I have (I think) a bootable USB drive made, but it doesn't appear in the boot list when I hold the on button down. I have no idea whether or not the 'allow boot from USB' is enabled by default and obviously cannot get into the OS to see.
What can I do here?
MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.6
