Undeletable email in Inbox

I am using iCloud Mail. I have an email in my Inbox that I am unable to delete, move, or do any kind of action upon it.

The error I get back when I try an action is "Cannot move message to Trash. - The selected message cannot be moved to Trash at this time. Try again later."

I searched for a solution but unable to find a way to delete it.

Thanks.

Hello qfactors,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It may be best to isolate this issue to iCloud or your Mac Mail app. It sounds like you may be deleting directly within the Mail app. Right? Also, try these steps from Delete email in Mail on iCloud.com.

"Delete messages

  1. In Mail on iCloud.com, select the message or messages you want to delete.
  2. Tip: To select all messages in a folder, press Command-A on a Mac (or Control-A on a Windows computer).
  3. Do any of the following:
    • If you selected one message: Click the Trash button at the top right.
    • If you selected multiple messages: Click Delete."

If the same happens there, it may be best to reach out to Apple Support for a closer look.

All the best.
