Not receiving verification text codes

Hi,

I recently bought the iphone 14 pro max and have just realised that verification codes are not coming through to my phone. Does anyone know why this would be?

The verification codes aren’t to do with Apple. They are for other companies I do business with that sometimes require me to be sent a verification code via text message to sign in to them I.e Xero accounting software. These text messages aren’t coming through to my phone since I got the new iPhone.
