Hello! Thank you for your help in advance. I own a MacBook Air with the new M2 chip running Ventura OS. For some reason when attempting download the updated 2023 Mcafee Total protection the installation starts and then vanishes almost immediately. I spoke with Mcafee customer service and they suggested it was a potential settings issue with my firewall. Any idea how to fix this?

Typically third party Anti-Virus does nothing but add issues and compete directly with Apple’s® own built in Security. It is not recommended nor needed.
Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

my advice would be to stop trying to install it, and count yourself lucky that you haven't managed to get it installed. antivirus apps are neither needed nor recommended.
