Strange storage usage by the photos app

My iphone storage says im using 65gb of storage for photos but when i recently moved the photos to my computer it was only about 5gb. Its been bothering me quite a bit and im hoping theres a fix.

My photos use more storage than my phone has I have Iphone 12 and on it I have 128 gb of storage. When I calculate my storage space on the settings app it says that I have 116 gb taken up out of alredy mentioned 128gb but under it it says that photos somehow take 148gb of my storage. Does anybody know what is the problem and if it has a fix

My iPhone shows that "Photos" is taking up space, even after deleting images Hi, i deleted all of my photos but my phone still reports that “photos” is taking up over 86 GB of space. why is that? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
