safari and using java

When going to Walmart website and looking at products. I can scroll thru the products. But when I click on one to look at it, I get a (sorry we are experiencing technical difficulties). But if I go to Safari preferences and turn off java, I can go to the product page. But if left off. when using google search no pictures are displayed. This seems to only apply to Walmarts site. My wife iMac that is running El Capitan has no problem with the Walmart site.

I am not sure. I have in my drive- system- library folder a java file. Extensions MJR tool kit and deployment bundle. I don't know if that is what works with Safari or not. I tested other sites, such as Sears and Ebay with java checked in Safari and no problem. Only seems to effect Walmart site. But only on my computer. In Safari on my wife's Walmart works. I can go to the product page and see a list of products. But if I click on one to display it, I get the Sorry we're having technical issues we'll be back in a flash. If I uncheck java in Safari preferences, then I can get to the individual product page. could the java folder in drive system library folder need to be updated. I do not have java in system preferences. The date for java is jan. 2020. Two weeks ago it was working in Walmart website.

Running safe mode did not do anything. Got the same results. I have also done a reinstall without erasing the drive. No luck. Thought it might fix anything that was wrong with Safari. I would blame Walmarts website, except that my wife's iMac does not have this problem. I also downloaded Firefox and ran that. The Walmart webpages work in it. So it's confined to my Safari.

More info. I installed Firefox and had no problem with the Walmart product page. I also went to recovery and ran Safari from there. Got the same results when trying to load product page. So it's definitely Walmarts website that is causing this. Called Walmart and informed them of the problem. They may not fix it, so I"ll just have to use Firefox. Thanks for your help.
