Turn off Ask Permission in App Store

I have a child account set up on an iPad and I want to turn off the "Ask Permission" needed to download every app. I already tried turning off "Ask to Buy" but it does not get rid of this. What is going on here?

Hello eryn216,

Please take a look at the article which explains your options with Ask To Buy and parental controls: Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy. Follow this guidance:

"If you're a parent or guardian, use your own device to turn on or turn off Ask to Buy.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap your name.
    3. Tap Family Sharing.
    4. Tap your family member's name, then tap Ask to Buy. In iOS 15 or earlier, tap Ask to Buy then tap your family member's name.
    5. Turn on or off Require Purchase Approval."

That should turn the feature and requests off if you follow these steps. If the issue persists however, further assistance may be needed. We want to make sure you reach the right team for help with your child's device, so we recommend that you contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support.
