Unable to share purchases. The "family must have a valid payment method" error

Hi, I am a Family Organiser who has bought many apps but recently, after the Credit card option was removed for Indian users, my family members are unable to download any apps bought by me.

The error says, "Download Error! To download shared content your family must have a valid payment method".

Is there a fix for this? Tried customer support as well but they seem to take hours on "Hold on please."

• Apple ID balance (from adding funds)

• Net Banking (adding funds only)

• UPI (adding funds only)

You can use / pay with your Apple ID balance, see: Add money to your Apple ID balance

Add money to your Apple ID balance - Apple Support (IN)

if you use your Apple ID balance, you need to set your Apple ID balance as your default payment.

If you update your payment method or add funds to your Apple ID balance, It would take about 1 to 3 business days in order to process.

If you're still unable to update your payment method, Contact Apple Support.
