password requirement

Every time i try to change or delete files, i am asked to type my password which is a nuisance to me. When can I cancel the password requirement to make the process more easier?

Where are these items located?

Also, what version of macOS are you using?

It sounds your user does not have permission to modify these files/folders. If these items are located within your own home user folder, then you can use this Apple article to change their permissions:

Change permissions for files, folders, or disks on Mac - Apple Support

If the files are located on an external drive, then make sure the external drive is set to "Ignore Ownership".
