I cannot find out how to sync my Apple Music from my phone onto my new MACBOOK PRO

Please can someone help me get this fixed!?

It backs up OK but then says "preparing to sync" this goes on for hours, even if I only select one song to sync. I have tried to sync the same songs from my Win10 PC using iTunes, same result. I have used 2 different cables to connect and tried different ports on my Mac, same result. I have deleted all the existing songs from the iPhone and tried again (and again etc), same result. I have reset the iPhone to factory defaults, same result. I do not have an Apple Music subscription, and only the basic 5GB iCloud storage so can't transfer that way. Help? Rob.

Syncing iPhone music with Mac computer The music in Apple Music on my Mac book Pro finishes at 2022. It hasn't synced with my iPhone even though I've tried by connecting my iPhone (14 Pro Max) by cable to my computer. How can I fix this problem please? I use Cloud storage.

If you are using Apple Music, log into the same Apple ID and enable iCloud Music, and you should have the same playlists:

Access your music library on all your devices - Apple Support (AE)

If you are not using Apple Music, (nor iTunes Match), you can sync:

Intro to syncing your Mac and your devices - Apple Support (AE)
