Transfer of data to new IPhone 14 pro max keeps on cancelling for apparently no reason

My father just got his IPhone 14pro max and is transferring data from his android through the move to ios app but on the android phone it keeps on cancelling the transfer. This is weird because we did it yesterday too and we reset the phone today because the whatsapp data didn't get transferred. but now it doesn't seem to be working. is this an issue cuz of internet connection? as both phones need to be connected via the wifi i think (both phones were plugged in during transfer)
