why does the app store ask me for a password other than my apple id?

Hey there,

that’s mean’s this app it was downloaded from another Apple ID , and if you want to update it you will have to enter the password for the Apple ID that you downloaded this app

or you can delete it and redownload the app from your current Apple ID.
