Using Keynote 12, what do the 3 dots mean on the lower left of a slide and how do I fix it?

Three dots indicates you have applied an animation to objects on the slide.
There is nothing to fix, it is not a fault.
A triangle, bottom right of the slide in the navigator, indicates a transition is applied.
