Email Content Not Showing

I have an issue when I open email on my iPhone, before I open it on my MacBook. It opens fine on the phone, but if I look at it on the MacBook there is no content in the email. The email is in mail, but there there is no content in the body of the email. If the email is opened on the MacBook before the iPhone, there are no issues. The iPhone is an XR running 16.1.2 and the MacBook is a 2021 Pro running 13.0.1.

Thanks for any insight.

some email senders override default color, override default background color of email's body/content areas.

different person keeps different OS viewing preferences ... some wants darker background ... some wants white background.

different person keeps different background color preferences in email-client app.

so, sender's overriding conflicts with those theme's auto adjustment settings.

request the sender to NOT-override default text color, NOT-override default background color, etc.
