How can I restore this app or get my pictures back after updating to iOS 16?

A piece of advice for the future. Never store important personal data in password-protected third-party apps from small developers. We've seen far too many people lose access to things like pictures where there is an iOS update and the third-party developer doesn't update their app.
At the very least, make sure you have the pictures backed up somewhere else.

How to redownload apps on iPhone or iPad
1. Open the App Store app.
2. Tap the sign-in buttonor your photo at the top of the screen.
3. Tap Purchased.
4. If you use Family Sharing, tap My Purchases or choose a family member’s name to see content that they purchased.
5. Tap "Not on this [device]."
6. Find the app that you want to download, then tap the download button.
