Lagging cursor on MacBook with Apple silicon

Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a new MacBook Air fitted with M2 and just like my previous MacBook Pro M1 sometimes the cursor on the screen lags.

I don't have any external accessories connected through Bluetooth and I use macbook's trackpad.

I don't need to do any stressing task on the Macbook for this problem to show up.

It suddenly goes away, each time after an indefinite time span.

How can I get it to stop lagging?

Unfortunately the lag is not only cursor related but it also includes the scrolling, swiping through different windows.....basically whatever moves on the screen.

I know that I am not the only one experiencing these issues but I didn't find any useful advice to stop it.

Thanks for the help.
